Gingham Print: This picnic inspired print is perfect paired with denim shorts or skinny black pants.
Menswear: The menswear trend has continued to be trendy for several seasons now and there is no chance of it going out of style anytime soon. The trick to making it work is mixing feminine and masculine pieces for the perfect combination. Teen Vogue suggests rocking an oxford shirt as a mini- dress or draping an oversized blazer over a frilly frock. If you're afraid of looking too boyish, just try a preppy sweater vest, baseball cap or leather watch to display a touch of the trend.
Wear White: According to some (outdated) fashion rules, white should only be worn between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Although I beg to disagree on this, you might as well wear as much white as you can during this time frame. Think white skinnies, skirts and my personal favorite - a gorgeous white flowing sundress. Consider a white bikini if you have a summer tan going on, because white will really make your glow stand out.
Sporty Stripes: Summer yacht club and tennis club attire inspires this current trend. Showcase the trend with a mariner shirt featuring nautical horizontal stripes or go for a preppy tennis sweater.
Overall Shorts (Shortall): Whether you choose a denim pair or one of the more trendy printed fabrics, overalls are easy to style since they just need to be thrown over a cute top. My favorite combination is to pair one with a crop top for a super adorable and effortless look.

90's Jewelry: Chokers, tribal pendants and metallic cuffs are making a 90's throwback and serious style statement. Add some instant glam by adding one to even your most casual outfit. Maybe you can even raid your mom's old jewelry box instead of buying new.
Beachwear: A straw bag and panama hat are must-haves if you're spending time at the pool or beach. Fringe is also super in, so add a fringe cover up or bag to bring out your boho beach side.
Radiant Colors: If you haven't tried out one of the seasons hottest colors - this is an absolute must!! Radiant orchid and celosia orange have been especially hot this season. Check out this blog post on color trends and don't be afraid to go bold!
While researching these latest trends I noticed that many are looks that were popular in the 90's (slide-on sandals, overalls, gingham, etc.) As a 90's kid this makes me excited to bring back these trends as a grown up fashionista. So if you grew up in that era like me just channel your inner child and rock these current trends that you grew up wearing!
Have you tried these current summer trends? Any trends you want to add to the list?
